How To Create A New Patient

This tutorial will demonstrate how to create a new patient in Vision(X). Fields that require information values are marked with a blue asterisk. Required fields can be configured at any time in the Settings tab.

Locate the Patients Tab

Use the navigation panel to select the Patients tab, then click "New Patient":

Patient Information

Enter information in all required fields. Enter additional information, such as HIPPA and Financial Authorization form signatures on file, if applicable at this time:

Demographics

Scroll down to view the Demographics and Addresses sections, and enter information for all required fields:

Communication Methods and Emergency Contacts

Scroll down to view the Communication Methods and Emergency Contacts sections. Click "+Add" to enter a method of contact, then use the drop-down menus to specify the type and contact information. Repeat this process for each relevant communication method (phone, email, etc.) Then enter emergency contact information as applicable.

Click "Save" when finished.

Success!

You will receive a message confirming the successful creation of your new patient profile. Click any option to proceed to additional menus for adding insurance, linked accounts, create a Patient Portal, and/or patient recall preferences (these can also be added at a later time), or to return the Patient's Summary tab:
