How to Add General (Non-Exam) Notes to Patient Profile

Notes related to patients can be created in various places within your Vision(X) workflows. The Patient profile home page is visible to all team members, which makes it an ideal place to log information that is intended for team members to be able to quickly access and review. This tutorial will demonstrate how to add notes directly to a patient profile.

Select a Patient Profile

Select a patient profile The "Search Patient" field is always visible at the top of your Vision(X) site. Select this field to search for any patient by name:

Alternatively, users can select a patient from Today's Appointments list, or from the Patients tab directly:

When viewing a patient profile, look to the box near the upper-right-hand side of your screen, below the patient's ledger balances summary. Select the "Patients Notes" tab from the four available options, then "Add New" to open the menu:

Using the free text field, type any relevant information. When finished, click the computer disc icon to SAVE:

Once saved, your note will be visible in the notes list. Users can add another note by clicking "Add Note", or edit/delete any existing note by selecting either option from the "Actions" column on the right-hand side of the screen. This notes list also includes additional information fields to help users track which team members have previously created/edited notes for this patient. When finished, click "Close" or "X" to return to the patient's profile:

Your most recent notes are now visible by default in the "Notes" tab of the information box on the patient's profile. Previously saved notes can be revisited/edited any time by clicking the options to edit, remove, view, or add new notes:
