How to Add External Documents to a Patient Profile

This tutorial will demonstrate how to add external file documents to a patient's profile page.

Select a Patient Profile

Select a patient profile The "Search Patient" field is always visible at the top of your Vision(X) site. Select this field to search for any patient by name:

Alternatively, users can select a patient from Today's Appointments list, or from the Patients tab directly:

When viewing a patient profile, the "Documents" box appears on the far right-hand side of your screen. Documents can be added directly from your PC by dragging-and-dropping into this field:

Documents can also be added directly from your PC using your computer's file manager system:

New Document Upload Details

Once saved, the New Document Details menu will open. Complete all required fields marked by a blue asterisk, then add/edit any of the additional information fields as needed. When finished, click "Save":

The Patient Document Has Successfully Been Saved!

Return to the patient profile and click "Documents" at any time to view the complete list of all previously saved Patient Documents:
