Prescription order can be created for any patient once your Vision(X) catalog is populated with products. This tutorial will explore the process of creating and saving a new prescription contact lens order.
Select a Patient
From any patient's profile summary page, look to the "Create a new" toolbar and click "New Order":
Prescription & Order Items
A New Order tab will appear next to the patient's name, indicating that the order draft process has begun. Select an option from the patient's list of saved prescriptions. Once the prescription is selected, choose an order type (Frames Only, Contact Lens, or Eyeglasses). Then click "Begin Order":
Select and Configure Lenses
The "Select and Configure Lenses" menu will appear. Enter selections for each required field (marked by blue asterisk) in the Patient Information, Prescription Details, Insurance Details and Contact Settings sections, then proceed:
Enter required values for Fulfillment and Shipping Details, then proceed:
Select Lenses
Select an option from each of the OD Supply and OS Supply fields, then proceed:
Enter any information into the Purchase dispenser notes and Wear Details fields as needed, then click "Add to Order" when ready:
Success!
The order is now saved to the patient's profile with a unique identification number. From here, the order can be deleted or edited as needed using the options available in the "Actions" column. The order can also be saved as a draft, or applied to an invoice when ready to execute final sale and advance the order's status to its next steps toward fulfillment:
