Prescription order can be created for any patient once your Vision(X) catalog is populated with products. This tutorial will explore the process of creating a prescription contact lens order.
Select a Patient
From any patient's profile summary page, look to the "Create a new" toolbar and click "New Order":
Prescription & Order Items
A New Order tab will appear next to the patient's name, indicating that the order draft process has begun. Select an option from the patient's list of saved prescriptions, or select "Contact Lens" and"Begin Order":
Select & Configure Lenses
The Select & Configure Lenses menu will appear. Complete all required fields (marked by blue asterisk), then scroll to continue:
Fulfillment
Select a fulfillment option: Supplier or ECP/Inventory, then complete all required fields (marked by blue asterisk). Fulfillment by supplier requires additional selections for shipping details:
Fulfillment from ECP/Inventory provides different options for shipping details. Optional recommendation fields can also be found in the "Wear Details" section at the bottom of the Select & Configure Lenses menu. When all required fields are complete,click "Add To Order":
Review Order and Assign to Invoice
An order number is now assigned to this order. Review the Order Items field. Click the pencil icon in the "Actions" column to edit/adjust if necessary, then select "Save Draft" (to save the order draft for future sale), or "New Invoice" to assign the order to a new invoice for final sale:
Review Invoice and Collect Payment
A new, numbered invoice will appear. Review details and complete required fields (marked by red outline), then click "Collect patient pay":
The Collect Patient Payment menu will appear. Select a payment method, then complete all required fields (marked by blue asterisk.) When finished, click "Post Payment":
Success!
You will receive a confirmation message that the invoice has been successfully posted. The order sale is now complete.
