How do I Scan Documents into the Patient Record?

You can now Scan documents directly from your scanner into Uprise. Scanning documents can only be performed from the Patient tab in the PM. These are the supported file types you can upload:  jpg, gif, png, tif, docx, xlsx, xls, doc, txt, and pdf

1. From the Patient tab > Click Documents > Click Scan

Uprise will activate scanning from your scanner and begin scanning.

NOTE: Click Multipage and/or Double-sided before scanning if applicable.

2. Once scanning is complete, the document will be listed > Click the Paper icon to view the file

If the file is an image, once clicked to view it will download the file to be viewed. Only PDF files can be opened in an online viewer.

3. Click Close

4. Make changes to the document attributes by clicking on the field under each column.

5. For example, Click the Title to change the name

6. Click the cell field under "Type" to make a different selection from the dropdown

7. Changes to the Document Type and Source are found under Admin > Lists
